Your Quick Guide To Acne Facts, Tips And Treatments

You can do it -- look better, feel better, and raise your self-esteem 150% by getting rid of your acne for good. Almost 100% of people between the ages of twelve and seventeen have at least occasional breakouts of whiteheads, blackheads or a pimple, now and then. Natural treatment methods are always a better choice for acne due to less exposure to drugs and chemical-laden acne products.

Baby acne is a rash seen on the cheeks, chin, and forehead of infants. Acne vulgaris is most commonly experienced around puberty, typically of the face, shoulders and chest. Acne will affect almost every person at some stage of their life. Nearly 80 percent of people from ages 11 to 30 years have acne, most often on the face, chest and back. In a survey conducted in Great Britain, 95% of 16-year-old males and 83% of 16 year-old females had acne.

The cause of acne is really unknown. It's not true that dirty skin and stress cause acne. Doctors think certain factors might cause or contribute to acne including hormone increases in teenage years, hormone changes in pregnancy, starting or stopping birth control pills, heredity, medicines and greasy make-up. I think the cause of acne is related to our Standard American Diet (SAD) and that would also influence all our hormones.

It's easy to treat acne cheaply, simply, naturally, yet effective, at home. If you're going to buy acne products, it's much more worth your while to buy acne-treating products that work against current pimples and that also fight against the occurrence of new ones.

Coconut is one of the best treatments I've found for acne. Raw apple cider vinegar application is a cheap, alternative acne treatment that has worked for many adults, teens and children with acne, zits, pimples, or blemishes.

One treatment method some people have used is applying cornstarch, egg whites or milk of magnesia as a facial mask. For a good acne treatment, that has worked for many, try applying virgin coconut oil daily, but on a small test area first. A new treatment using red light and blue light has been extremely successful on severe acne.

Acne scars are an ongoing reminder of a common skin condition that can cause embarrassment and social isolation. Scars may also contribute to a person looking older than their age as the skin loses its elasticity over the years. As a registered nurse, I have learned a lot over the years about acne scars, acne scar treatments, and acne scar removal.

People with skin disorders such as acne, rosacea, and psoriasis often suffer from constipation. Drink lots and lots of pure, filtered water. In any case, no matter what skin or acne treatment you choose, whether it is chemical, drugs, alternative, or natural methods, changing your diet will result in your overall good health!

Essential fatty acids are particularly important to people with inflammatory conditions such as eczema and acne.

And fatty acids are particularly important to people with dry skin. Good skin is often a reflection of a good digestive system. Eat high-fiber snacks like raw nuts, raw seeds, and dried fruit, such as dates, and figs.

Unclean skin favors the development of pathogenic organisms - the dead cells that continually slough off of the epidermis mix with the secretions of the sweat and sebaceous glands and the dust found on the skin to form a filthy layer on its surface. The skin must be regularly cleaned or it'll become cracked or inflamed.

And whatever you do stop purchasing hundreds of dollars in skin care acne treatment solutions. By simply following a plan you've developed for yourself and sticking with it, you can reduce the severity of your acne or even eliminate it entirely. In any case, try not to panic about your acne and take it day by day.

Effortless Baby Soft Skin Management in 3 Easy Steps!

Everyone wants to have beautiful, resilient, soft, and supple skin. Unfortunately, when many of us look in the mirror, we are quite dismayed to see that our skin is actually rather dry, grayish and pale. Some of us are even suffering from severe skin conditions like eczema, flaky, itchy skin, or rosacea, which make our skin feel and look even worse. Skin that is healthy usually functions properly, which means that it feels moist, resilient, soft, and supple. However, our health is also reflected by our skin, and if we are not healthy, it becomes apparent by the feel and look of our skin. Our skin even shows when we are not eating properly, are feeling under the weather or are stressed. We can actually improve both our emotional state and our overall healthy by ensuring that our skin is in the best possible condition and healthy. By following the 3 steps mentioned below, we can improve both our general health and our physical appearance, and get baby soft skin effortlessly.

Step 1: Eating moisturizing foods

Fats are capable of moisturizing our skin from the inside out, and that is why it is necessary for us to include fats in our diet if we want to have glowing and supple, baby soft skin. While there are both good and bad fats, but if you want to improve the health of your skin, you should focus on eating good fats. These fats belong to a subcategory of polyunsaturated fats and are known as EFAs or Essential-Fatty Acids. Flax seeds, freshwater fish, green vegetables, nuts, and oily fish are rich in Omega 3, which especially ideal for healthy skin. An oil blend containing Omega 3s like linseed/flax seed or fish oils are also good if you are suffering from skin disorders or if your skin is dry. You can also improve the condition of skin, nails and hair by consuming Omega-6 fatty acids because they are impressive acid neutralizers. They improve skin moisture and decrease inflammations. Fish, flax seeds, nuts like walnuts and leafy greens are rich in Omega 6s.

Step 2: Keeping your body hydrated

If you want to become healthy and stay that way for the rest of your life, then you must drink plenty of water every day. One of the key things to have a healthy, moist and soft skin is to keep the body hydrated properly. If you drink far too less water every day, then your body and skin will get easily dehydrated. Once your body gets dehydrated, you will start noticing that your skin will become dry, flaky and itchy. You are generally recommended to drink at least 2 to 4 liters of water every day. In fact, you should be drinking pure, alkaline water with a pH level of about 9.5 if your skin to be healthy and baby soft. You can add "pH alkalizing drops" to the water you drink to achieve this easily. "pH alkalizing drops" make the water more alkaline by restructuring it and drinking it will hydrate your skin quite effectively. Acids will be gently removed from your body if drink moderate amounts of alkaline water along with a proper diet.
Step 3: Alkalizing and shower baths

Alkalizing baths: An alkalizing bath will prove to be quite rewarding for you and your skin, and is especially ideal if you do not have the money or time to spend an entire day at the spa. Your skin's natural oils will be stimulated, and your skin will be cleansed by the alkaline concentrated bath, and your skin will become baby soft. You should take an alkaline bath for at least 20 minutes.

Shower baths: Taking shower baths will fantastically revitalize your body, softening your skin and making it firmer. Taking a warm shower first thing in the morning can is excellent for the skin. Take a shower in cold water at the end. Wrap yourself in a towel and rest for about 10 minutes. Your immune system will become awakened and strengthened by such a shower bath.

If you consistently follow these steps for a few months, you start to notice that your skin is becoming softer, until it becomes perfectly baby soft. There are other ways you can get baby soft skin effortlessly, such as removing excess hair, exfoliating, applying oil and lotion regularly.

Some Easy Steps in Dealing With Oily Skin

Our face is more important for us than any other part. We take care of our face mostly ignoring other places.

When puberty comes, skin becomes oily. Oily skin can also be seen in women when hormonal changes occur due to post menopausal period. Other causes in various people are due to diet, climatic conditions and lifestyle.

Hormonal activities are majorly responsible for oily skin. In the case of teenagers, a small subset of cells in the hormone change, which set off a reaction in the body's immune system which signals some problem and as an early warning system, the area affected gets more white blood cells. Presence of oil and white blood cells are responsible for emergence of acnes, zits, and pimples.

The voyage of the oily skin begins when the surplus oil is produced and is oozed out through the skin. Having absorbed oil needed for the skin, body pushes out excess oil through skin pores which clogs the skin pores.

As a result people with this hormonal imbalance, people get pimples, acne, blackheads, etc., on the face or scales in the folds of the skin, particularly in the abdomen, armpits, or the legs. This is due to the fact that when people get in touch with the surroundings, some amount of the excessive oil evaporates. When the hormonal alteration ends, the symptoms of oily skin vanish and gradually skin returns to usual color.

The worst impact of oily skin is on teenager battling the problem as it results in emergence of pimples, acne blackheads, etc. This is an important age where the teenager is getting attracted to opposite sex and is learning the phases of life. Acne produces a hindrance to act as magnet for the opposite sexes. Thus, teenagers get stressed and depressed. But they must understand that all these changes occur in all people, and one should not be at astonished. Nature has created all like this.

To treat the menace of oily skin problem one has to re-establish his self-assurance. Teenager ought to get conscious but they must remember that that he/ she is not alone to whom these things are happening, there are lots of million other who are enduring similar hitch. On internet, various websites are present which address the problem of oily skin as a common problem with a solution.

Next step once teenager is assured of the fact that he is not alone battling this problem is to maintain body hygiene. Bathing twice a day is necessary with warm water for people who have oily skin. Use gentle soap which has less detergent and more oil eliminating properties. Moisturizers having less oil and alcohol base conditioners should be used.

Large variety of lotion, ointments, creams are available to help you battle out the problem of oily skin.

Teenagers can have an assurance from the size of oily skin products as such a vast variety would not have been possible if large number of people who require these products were not there. By staying clean and using proper oily skin product, the menace of oily skin can be battled out.

Easy Steps to Reduce Acne and Other Skin Imperfections

So many people around the world struggle with acne and other skin imperfections. Here are some things you can do to have the clearest skin possible.

1. Drink lots of water. This seems to be a cure all for many issues, and skin health is no difference. Many carbonated sodas have colors, and other chemicals that don't have the same cleansing effects as water. We all sweat, and it is best to sweat out water through your pores than all the ingredients in soda. Green tea is another option that is healthy for skin. There are plenty of antioxidants and of course the primary ingredient is water.

2. Get rid of greasy foods! This is a source of debate, but if you are struggling with acne and greasy skin this is worth a shot. Again, the same principle being that eventually what you eat comes out through the pores.

3. Eat a plenty of raw fruits and vegetables. This has many benefits beyond skin care, but all the vitamins and nutrients you get through a diet heavy on these foods will pay huge dividends for eliminating acne and greasy skin.

4. Use pure vitamin E oil on your face. It is natural and it works. This is something you can apply at night and expect results within a couple of months.

5. Believe it or not, stress can play a part in how your skin looks. Stress has many negative effects including to your waistline, so reducing stress will do more than just enhance the appearance of your skin.

Nevertheless, you should look for opportunities to eliminate such things that take a mental and emotional toll on you.

Obviously you can always consult a dermatologist, but hopefully some of these are simple, safe things you can try at home. We can all use more water, vegetables, and less stress in our lives right?

There are times when "natural" cures aren't enough, and at times like this you should absolutely see a professional. There are a number of products available that can be prescribed or purchased over the counter which can address acne issues.

There are also other skin issues beyond acne, which will need different solutions. One common example are stretch marks, which create scarring on the skin. It is caused by the skin being stretched from something like pregnancy, and are extremely difficult to get rid of. This is certainly something beyond what most homeopathic cures can help with.

Banish Winter Skin Problems With These Easy Steps

Winter brings cold temperatures and drying indoor heat. This can result in dry, flaky skin. What can you do about these winter skin problems?

Your solution will depend on the severity of your problems.

8 Ways to Combat the Winter Dryness

• If your reaction to the winter and accompanying dry, indoor heat is tight and dry skin, you'll benefit from using more and better moisturizer. Use a good quality hand and body lotion after a shower when you're still a bit damp. It'll help lock the moisture in.

• Use warm, not hot water. It might sound lovely to linger in the hot bubble bath at the end of a cold day out. However, hot water will only dry out your skin more so keep baths and showers on the shorter and cooler side.

• Use a heavier moisturizer for your face. An oil-based night cream can provide your skin more moisture day and night. If you're suffering in the winter, it can really help. One ingredient I really like is avocado oil. This oil works with all skin types and is very hydrating.

Vitamin E is also great for dry, flaky patches. You can use a face cream with it or you can dab the pure oil directly onto problem areas.

• No matter what type of heat you use, it's going to dry out your skin. One way you can combat this is to use a humidifier. They're easy to use and replenish moisture in your air.

• Exfoliate - exfoliate from head to toe regularly. It sloughs off the dead skin and helps you absorb more moisturizing goodness.

• Use a hydrating mask every other week. It can provide your skin with more moisture and heal it from the harsh elements. Make sure it's oil based to give you the most hydration. Avocado oil works well with many skin types and it stimulates collagen production so to help fight sagging skin.

• Don't use alcohol based cleansers and toners. They strip your skin of necessary oils and dry it out further.

• Slather lotion on your hands and feet. The skin on your hands is thinner than on other parts of your body so they need more frequent moisturizing. Your feet can get dry too so slather on some good cream and sleep in socks to have softer, more pampered feeling feet overnight.

When Should You See a Specialist?

If you're suffering from severe flaking or eczema (an inflammation of the skin), you may need to see a specialist. They can test your skin type and make recommendations based on their training. The journal Dermatology says these outbreaks can be frequent in the winter.

As you can see, there are several steps to take to combat your winter skin problems. Now that you know what you can do, why not get started today?

Wash your face twice a day with a cleanser that is formulated especially for your skin type. Using the wrong cleanser can irritate your skin and can cause breakouts. You will need to determine your skin type before you purchase products to help to get clear skin. This is very important if you do not know if you have oily skin or dry skin.

Twice a week, you should use a gentle face scrub to remove dead skin cells. Dead skin cells can build up on your face over time and can lead to breakouts. Treat Poison Oak Skin Rashes

If you have are suffering from a rash caused by poison oak, it is important that you treat it as soon as possible and learn how to minimize the itching that comes as a result of contact with the plant. Learning how do you treat poison oak is also a good thing to store in your mind, in case you need help one day.

Poison oak, contains a toxin called Urushiol which is often present on its leaves and stem. Upon contact with the skin, it causes an allergic reaction which is triggered as a response of your body's immune system. In some people, this reaction is mild, however other people have a hard time dealing with a strong reaction.

The symptoms of a poison oak rash are mainly itching, redness and blistering. Itching will start just a few hours after having contact with the plant, while the skin's appearance will start as a redness that will then form blisters. In severe cases these blisters can be enlarged and filled with an oozing substance.

Treating the rash is aimed mainly at helping you deal with the symptoms. Itching can be extremely uncomfortable and if you don't treat it, you'll have to endure the torture for about 2 weeks, which is the period skin usually needs to recover. To relieve itchiness, you can use Calamine lotion - found in most drugstores at a low price - or you can use compresses of cool water on the affected areas of your skin.

There are many home remedies on the Web, however, I would advise you to be extremely careful, as a lot of the advice on the Net is false and can lead to complications of your current condition. For example, I once read that rashes could be cured with hot water, and what this will lead to is inflammation of top of the skin rash.

If you are interested in this topic and want to get more information, here you can learn more about poison oak treatment and poison oak pictures.

Eight Acne Masks That Work

To date, several drugs and gels have been discovered to heal acne. The way many of these work leaves a lot to be desired, in that, some of them have catastrophic effects on the functioning of the body. Cases in point being the active chemicals used in some drugs which, while effective on removing acne, come with massive discomforts like allergic reactions they trigger in patients. Some also have an addictive and dependency effect in sufferers.

Even then, there are many acne masking techniques in the market although patients rarely consider them as a first resort. Some of these are modern and expensive whereas others are natural, simple to make and effective against acne. Natural acne masking methods yield effective results, especially when used accordingly. This article gives you some of the most effective natural acne masks recommended by dermatologists.

1. Oatmeal - This is one of the most effective natural acne healing/masks in the market. Naturally, oatmeal attracts and colonizes the skins' impurities preventing them from jamming the blood flow. It also absorbs excess sebum, making the skin less moist. When this is applied properly, the results come fast.

2. Apple cider vinegar - This is normally applied using water and some cotton wool on the skin surface where acne attacks the most. As a weak acid, apple cider vinegar affects the skin pH. When the pH of the skin is lowered during application, bacteria and other microbes that clog glands and vessels in the skin are killed. Normally, application should take approximately 10 minutes, before it's rinsed with water.

3. Lemon - It's one of the few citrus fruits that have several uses including its use as a natural remedy or mask for acne. It can be used interchangeably with apple cider vinegar, depending on your skin condition and preferences. It works the same way as the later.

4. Tea Tree oil - It is a natural remedy for acne that's used as natural gel. It's one of the most common natural acne remedies in mainstream pharmacies and can be used with other mild oils like jojoba.

5. Aloe Vera - Aloe Vera is one of the most effective acne scar removal remedies on the market. As a hype plant, its solution can work effectively against acne.

6. Garlic - This makes a mask full of anti-oxidants. These types of masks facilitate the eradication of toxins from the skin. At most, garlic is used as a mineral supplement. Its function in skin rejuvenation is marked.

7. Banana - Bananas make some of the most profound masks that can be used to cure acne. Because they contain vitamin C, they help quell skin redness and swelling. This is great for the acne recession.

8. Honey -The wonders honey plays on acne are profound. In fact, several acne mask treatments are tailored around honey. For example, yoghurt marks and banana masks are sometimes implemented using honey. It works the same way as honey does and helps sooth the skin.

9 Easy and Natural Ways to Get Rid of Pimples

Do you fight embarrassing pimples every day? Do you have bouts of painful pimples on your skin? Have you been looking for some natural ways to get rid of acne?

Here are the top 9 easy and natural ways to get rid of pimples. If you follow these easy but often ignored tips, you'll soon be on your way to clean skin!

1. Don't pick and squeeze the existing pimples. Those actions only increase the likelihood of more pimples growing. As a result, your skin is easily infected and you take the risk of increasing the possibility of leaving scars after the infected spots are healed.

2. Wash your face regularly, twice a day is recommended. Only use fragrant and soap-free organic facial cleanser to smoothly wash your face so that the pores are not clogged with excessive oil. Keep in mind not to over-wash your skin because it might stimulate the chance of growing more pimples; this outcome certainly is not expected or desired.

3. Build a healthy diet plan. Some people are allergic to certain foods which cause more pimples to grow.

Try to eat Vitamin C and zinc-rich fruits such as citrus, berries, apples, mangoes, bananas and melons as well as vegetables such as lettuce, broccoli, carrots, tomatoes and potatoes. It is believed that zinc and Vitamin C can help alleviate conditions from becoming worse. Try to reduce drinking milk and eating seafood. Recent studies show milk contains hormones and seafood is rich in iodine. Those sources only stimulate the chance of pimples growing and developing.

4. Drink an adequate amount of water daily to keep away unwanted materials out of your body and prevent pimples from spreading all over your body, especially on your face.

5. Try not to wear makeup because those chemical materials can clog your pores and cause more pimples. If you have to wear makeup, you must thoroughly rinse your face with water and clean away any chemical materials on your face to prevent pimples from breaking out.

6. Avoid using facial creams for greasy skin because an oil-rich facial moisturizer adds extra oil to your face.

When the elements penetrate into your skin, they increase the possibility of pores clogging and trigger another bout of pimple breakout.

7.Exercise regularly to keep fit and increase blood circulation. By doing this, sweating takes away toxins and reduces the chances of pimples growing.

8. Stay away from stress and have sufficient sleep daily to give your skin more time to breathe during the night time.

9.Stay outside in the sun but only early morning sun. Sun rays stimulate the production of Vitamin D; it is an essential element for healthy skin apart from Vitamin C. Avoid staying in the sun too long otherwise it has a negative effect on your skin.

Over a period of time, one day when you look at your skin in the mirror, you suddenly see your pimples completely disappeared, your skin returns its natural shinny and clean complexion. In the meantime, your confidence and excitement returns to normal and you start to participate in some social entrainment events.

What a surprising result!

The Importance of Vitamins in Treating Acne Effectively

Acne is one of the most dreaded skin conditions in the world. Despite the fact that millions suffer from it, no concrete and conclusive uniform cure has been found for it. The specific cause of acne, to date, has been put as hormonal imbalance in the body and toxins lodged in blood and body lymph glands.

The relationship between vitamins and acne therefore, is indirect. However, experts have come up with theories and scientific relations which explain the relationship which exists between vitamins and acne. This article explores the perceived role of vitamins in acne control. It also explores the possibility that vitamins could be used to prevent and cure acne.

Function of vitamins in removing acne

As stated, the role of vitamins is not a direct one when treating acne. However, the following are some of the ways in which vitamins help.

1. Vitamins help stabilize hormones in the body
2. Fight free radicals in the body, hindering them from causing attacks in the body.
3. Vitamins boost the body's immune system making it hard for bacteria to cause infections
4. Regulate sebum production
5. Facilitate the repair of body tissues, collagen fibers and skin breakage
6. Help reduce stress.

As you can see, the above functions of vitamins and their components play a direct role in ensuring that acne is dealt with both at prevention stage, maintenance stage and curing stage. This proves that vitamins can indeed deal with acne.
Essential acne vitamins

Vitamins for Acne

Do Vitamins cure acne?

The simple answer to this question is yes and no. Vitamins can be relied upon to cure certain types of acne. This is because acne is a product of both physical and internal factors. If the cause is hormonal, vitamins (nutrients and regulated supplements) can cure acne. However, if the cause of the acne is because of blood and lymph gland toxicity, vitamins can only be part of the big cure plan.

Helpful Tips to Get Rid of Pimples

Many people suffer from outbreaks of acne. If you are one of these people, you might be asking yourself, what can I do to get rid of pimples? The answer to getting rid of pimples sometimes lies in what causes them.

Most people believe eating greasy foods will lead to acne. This is true in the sense that the grease can form on the surface of the skin and clog pores. When looking for tips to get rid of pimples, one of the more useful tips is to thoroughly cleanse the face every day. Not only can grease from foods build up on the surface of the skin, but so can pollution and smoke.

*Meditation

For those people who eat a healthy diet and still end up with outbreaks of acne, the cause could be due to stress or anxiety. If you are wondering how can I get rid of my acne when I already eat healthy and wash my skin properly, the answer could be in learning some techniques to reduce stress and anxiety. Meditation works well for reducing these conditions. Techniques used to help relax the mind and body include listening to soothing music or taking a hot bath with scented oils.

*Anti-acne creams

The tips to get rid of acne will also include using anti-acne creams to clear up and prevent future outbreaks.

These creams contain ingredients that dry up the oils inside the pores. Some products could also contain anti-inflammatory ingredients to help reduce the redness and swelling often associated with pimples. Young people and women can experience outbreaks of acne due to hormonal changes.
People cannot stop the changes in their hormones, so for those individuals asking what can I do to get rid of pimples due to hormonal changes, the answer will be to use facial cleansing products and anti-acne creams.

By applying the creams at the first sign of pimples, you can often dry out the pores before they become red and noticeable. Anti-acne creams are very good at clearing up pimples in a fast manner so people do not feel self-conscious about their appearance.

*Diet

If you are asking yourself how can I get rid of my acne when it is not caused by hormonal changes, the answer could be to change your diet. Eliminating greasy, fatty foods and eating more fresh fruits and vegetables could help your complexion. Drinking plenty of water will also help flush toxins out of your body.

When looking for useful tips to get rid of pimples, people should also remember never to pinch or squeeze a pimple to get rid of it. By squeezing the infected pore, you could cause a larger infection. The emptied pore could also heal in a manner which leaves a pock mark.

How to Banish Severe Acne From Your Skin

Severe acne can reside anywhere in your body. For some people, it would be in their face. For others, it would be in other parts of their body. Therefore, I will generalize it and give some useful suggestions about how to banish severe acne from your skin. I don't claim that I know how to do this properly, but I know that my suggestion worked for me in the past. So, I would like to share it to you and give some ideas about how to get out from this miserable suffering.

As you may know, severe acne is not a problem that can be taken lightly. If you neglect it, it will spread more in your skin, and give you a bad look. So, your apathy is definitely not the best answer to eliminate your severe acne problem. It is only by active efforts from your part that you will be able to banish this problem once and for all. Even so, your effort should be the right effort. That's because you can't treat your severe acne carelessly.

Your skin is very sensitive. Therefore, when you treat your acne carelessly, it will tend to make the condition worse. So, just follow my suggestions below.

When you have severe acne, remember these things:

1. Don't touch it. If you feel itch, just rub it softly with the back of your hand.

2. Remove whiteheads inside your severe acne immediately when they appear on the surface. This will help to reduce the swelling significantly within few days.

3. Eat light portion of meals. I mean, don't be a glutton and eat anything that you see. You will give your body more burden as well as toxins. Control your appetite.

4. Excrete your bowel regularly. Give yourself a time every day to clean your digestive system from toxins.

5. No matter what you're doing, when you feel that you need some rest, make sure to go to sleep immediately.

6. Keep your clothes and your surroundings clean and organized.

7. Avoid exposing your skin in excessive heat or cold. Extreme environments can aggravate acne.

8. No matter what you do, keep your mind at peace. I can't stress this enough because peacefulness will help you to keep your skin clear from acne. Control your temper.

9. Do not overwork your body. Do everything in moderation. Know when to stop.

My suggestions above will help you to banish severe acne from your skin. Again, I can't guarantee any result for you, but I know that those things work because I've applied them in the past.

If you want complete treatment for your severe acne, there's one system that I recommend to you. It is called holistic system. This system will allow you to clear your acne from inside out. It will also help you to improve your overall health. You can find out about this system at http://shareacnethoughts.wordpress.com/. This is my website and I explained about the system there.

My Secret to Cure Severe Acne

Now I have what you call a clear skin. But, I still remember clearly when people shunned me because of my severe acne few years ago. I've experienced this skin problem for at least 7 years, and this experience was the worst experience in my life. I couldn't have normal friendship with people around me because of my acne. I also had many psychological problems as well, such as shyness, lack of self-esteem, social anxiety, panic attack, and so on. But, when I finally cured my acne, people think that it is because of some magic pills that I use, especially my family. Or, they think that my acne disappears by itself. They really don't know what they are talking about.

To tell the truth, I've come across many methods to cure my severe acne. Most of those methods fail but some of them worked for me. I'm striving every day to find out the best method to cure my acne.

I keep searching and experimenting, and finally I have what I need - a secret to cure my severe acne. I call this a secret because people around me don't know what it is. In fact, this secret makes it possible for me to experience clear skin. The secret is about foods, digestive system, and how I use my body.

First of all, I discovered that I have allergy toward some foods. When I eat those foods, it is sure that acne will come quickly. I think that this realization is very important in my journey to clear skin. Without realizing that some foods can actually cause acne, I will never be able to control my severe acne. So, when I realize that some foods can cause allergic reaction in my body, I'm determined to find out those bad foods. Once I've found those bad foods, I eliminate them completely.

Then, I realized that digestive system is affecting my overall body condition. For instance, when I'm not excreting my bowels regularly, my skin will become very bad and I will tend to increase my stress level. Once I've realized about this, I begin to excrete my bowels at least once per day or whenever necessary.

Lastly, I also discovered that the more I overuse my body, the more acne will emerge in my skin. My body also needs rest and I don't usually give my body a proper rest every day. So, I begin to change this pattern. I'm changing my sleep pattern and give my body proper rest.

The result of my experiment based on my realization about foods, digestive system, and how I use my body is clear skin. This is my secret to cure severe acne.

Also, I won't forget to mention that certain holistic system is responsible for keeping my clear skin with me. You can see further information about this system at http://shareacnethoughts.wordpress.com/. It might also help you to cure your severe acne permanently.

Is Laser Treatment For Acne The Best Form Of Treatment?

Acne is one of the most embarrassing conditions which people suffer with. This skin condition can cause great anxiousness and embarrassment to anyone who suffers with it, what makes it worse is that it is also considered a social taboo.

There are literally millions of acne sufferers all over the world; in fact just in America alone there are around 60 million people with acne. This shocking statistic has resulted in hundreds of remedies for acne being reported, tested and reviewed. These stem from the simple old wives tale such as the use of toothpaste on your skin to the extreme laser treatment.

Acne appears when excess oil, dirt and dead skin cells become trapped in the pores of your skin. Here it then mixes with bacteria and becomes infected, acne then appears, either in pimple and cystic form or by just red patches appearing on the skin.

People who are looking for a quick fix have been turning to laser treatment for acne in order to get super quick results, the question is does this work? And if it does is it worth the money?

The majority of laser treatment clinics for acne use the Sciton laser. Contrary to its appearance and name, this laser is painless and is actually very gentle on the skin. The laser will heat up the skin around the affected areas, usually where the reddening is at its worst, the laser then kills off the bacteria which then eliminates this skin conditions, reduces the reddening and gets rid of the pimples or spots which had previously formed.

This all sounds very good and appears to be a fast way to get rid of acne but what does this entail? You will have to attend a first consultation with the operator of this procedure, once given the all clear you will have to return to have your FIRST session. Laser treatment for acne can drag on for a number of weeks and even months.

It is not uncommon to have to attend the clinic for laser treatment once a week for half an hour at a time. You can expect to have to attend the clinic for anywhere between 5 to 8 weeks. All of this comes at a cost; it is again not uncommon to have to pay in the region of $2500 in order to have this kind of acne treatment. Is it worth the money? This would be a question that you will have to answer personally with your own situation in the forefront of your mind.

What's The Real Cause Of Acne?

Most acne medications only mask the symptoms of acne and does nothing to stop the real cause of acne. This is why people buy acne products month after month (year after year). And every time they stop using the product acne would come back again and again.

What you need to do is find out what the real cause of acne is and stop it.
So what's the real cause of acne?

Acne occurs when your body contains more toxics than your kidneys and bowels can remove. (Your kidneys and bowels are the two primary channels of elimination that your body expel toxics and waste products through.)

These toxics can be the accumulation of fat stored chemicals the liver can not wash out or there may be a problem with fat digestion, fat accumulation, food allergy, or even the accumulation of hormones that your body produces.

Once these toxics build up, your kidneys and bowels can get overloaded and clogged up, causing it to not function properly.

When that happens some of the load will be dumped onto your liver. One of your liver's main roles is to metabolize pile up fat into usable energy for your body.

This means, your liver will be doing some of your kidney's work. So now, your liver gets overloaded and it too will not work at full capacity.

What happens when your bowels, kidneys, and liver gets overloaded?

When that happen your body will expel toxins through your lungs and skin (your secondary channels of elimination). And this is when acne occurs. This is when your skin starts to breakout.

But whatever the toxic source is that's causing this problem, acne is a sign that your bowels and kidneys are overloaded with toxins, waste products, or hormones.

It is a sign that your liver is growing weaker in its detoxification abilities (and it will continue to grow weaker if you do not do what it takes to get rid of the toxics in your body).

So if you think that acne is your only problem, think again, your liver, kidneys, and bowels are getting weaker every time you breakout.

5 Tips For a Flawless Foundation

Beautiful skin takes work and in most cases is enhanced by artfully applied foundation. Foundations protect the skin, even out skin tone, and give the skin a more radiant appearance. Many foundations contain pigments that brighten the skin and hide imperfections. Guarantee a flawless finish by following a few simple steps.

1) Select a Foundation That is Suitable for Your Skin Type.

There are cream, full-coverage, medium-coverage, creme-to-powder, and mineral powder foundations. Cream and full-coverage are suited to normal to dry skin and will help to moisturize the skin for up to 6 hours. Medium-coverage suits combination to oily skin and controls oil for at least 8 hours. Creme-to-powder foundation and mineral powder foundation are suitable for all skin types. The majority of foundations are now transfer resistant so they won't fade away midday.

2) Select a Foundation Shade That Enhances Your Skin Tone.

Foundations come with several undertones; pink, yellow, olive, golden orange and warm brown. The best foundation shade, for you, will disappear on your face as you blend it into your skin. Many women can benefit from a yellow based foundation because it will minimize redness from broken capillaries, rosacea and will also minimize dark circles under the eyes. Pink based shades are generally best for fairer skin tones.

Olive undertones are great for women with a Mediterranean or Middle Eastern background, golden orange shades seems to work best for Asian skins unless they are very fair and warm brown shades suit most women from African descent. Be sure to change your foundation shade as needed if your skin tone changes from season to season.

3) Prepare the skin.

Cleanse, exfoliate and moisturize well to guarantee a smooth surface for your foundation. Cleansing and exfoliating with a 3-in1 Cleanser gets rid of dry surface cells that can cause foundation to clump. Moisturizing ensures that the foundation will glide smoothly over the skin. Allow your moisturizer to dry before beginning your foundation application.

4) Foundation Application.

Apply liquid or creme foundations by blending a small amount on the pads of your fingertips and then patting the foundation over your face. This ensures a lighter application of color than the older method of putting dots of foundation on the face and then spreading it out. If you need more coverage in certain areas let your foundation dry for a minute or two then apply more in those areas. Some women like to use a sponge for application and this can work well especially around the eyes. I would encourage you to use disposable sponges and throw them out after each application. A used sponge is a breeding ground for bacteria. Blend your foundation well along the jaw line so there is no discernible line where your foundation ends. Finish with a dusting of finely milled, pressed mineral powder in a matching shade to set your makeup.

Apply loose, mineral powder foundation with special application brush. The bristles should be soft, natural hair that let you pick up a precise amount of powder. The shape of the brush should have shorter bristles that are flat across the top. This allows you to easily customize the level of coverage you are able to achieve. Dip your brush into the powder, tap the brush to remove any excess and then the swirl the brush in the lid of the jar to distribute the powder through the bristles. To apply, start in the center of your face and work your way out to the hairline, jaw and across the forehead. For light natural coverage, a thin application should be enough however you can repeat the application if extra coverage is required.

5) Care for Your Skin Daily.

Remember, foundation needs a good complexion as a base. All the makeup in the world will not look good over bad skin because it will look like a cover-up and nothing more. At night be sure to cleanse and moisturize to maintain your skin so that you will always look your best.

Using Acne Makeup to Cover Up Breakouts

Acne makeup can leave your skin looking uneven and red. Blemishes can also show up and be unsightly. Even when acne breakouts clear up, they can leave scarring that will take a while to go away. Even if you have a mild breakout, you may wish to cover it up with makeup.

It's quite easy to conceal some forms of mild acne or mild scarring. However, if the scarring is deeper, you may require medical treatment to remove it.

If you decide to try makeup to cover of scarring and/or acne breakouts, stay away from products that clog pores. Use products that say they are "non-comedogenic, " which means that they don't clog pores. If you don't do this, you could choose a product that actually clog pores and can make your acne worse. Most often, products that are comedogenic contain oils, while those that are not are water-based so that they do not contribute to acne breakouts.

If scars are easily concealed and/or temporary, simply using makeup will cover them up well enough until they go away. If they're deeper, you may want to consider consulting a dermatologist and opt for laser treatments that will remove this deeper scarring.

Makeup has been specifically formulated to cover-up acne scars, but you can also use ordinary makeup just as well as long as it is applied properly.

If you have problem skin, use makeup that is not oil-based and non-comedogenic. Many powders and foundations are available that work well on sensitive skin. If you have especially oily skin, you might want to opt for a powder instead of a water-based foundation, since a powder can also help blot oil naturally, thus helping control its appearance on your face.

Many products are specifically geared for sensitive skin, and some even contain medication that can help control acne as you wear it.

This can help you especially if you have to wear makeup a lot more for long periods of time.

As time goes on, you may find that your acne scars lighten by themselves, so that you don't need to cover them up forever. If they don't go away, you can opt for medical treatment to remove them, or continue to wear makeup specifically designed to conceal these types of imperfections.

When you choose a product to cover up acne, choose one that is gentle to your skin. If you try a product and it makes your face irritated, choose something else.

By the same token, when you cover acne scars, use makeup that will blend with your skin so that the cover-up is not even more noticeable than the scars themselves. Apply foundation evenly, so that it looks natural.

If makeup alone does not work very well, try an acne concealer cream underneath first. These are also available over the counter in many different shades. You can use concealer to cover blemishes and reduce the appearance of scars as well. Again, as with makeup, find a product that does not irritate your skin.

How to Cover Up Acne with Makeup - Choose the Right Color Shades in 3 Easy Steps

Do you know how to select the right color shades to cover up your acne skin? The key to success in covering up acne with concealing cover makeup is in choosing the right color shades that best match your acne skin.

We've put together 3 easy steps you can use to choose the right color shades to successfully conceal and cover up your acne skin:

Step One: Determine your base skin tone shade

The first place to start is to determine what your base skin tone shade is. If you don't already know what your base skin tone shade is, you can use your hands or your jaw as a general guide to test and match the right color shade for your skin. Keep in mind though that your base skin tone shade can vary with the seasons of the year, lighter in winter and darker in summer, and may require that you use different color shades accordingly.

Step Two: Select the First Level Darker Color Shade

Once you have selected your base skin tone shade, the next step is to choose the next level darker color shade from your base skin tone shade. For concealing and covering up acne, the next darker color shade level is used to apply over the acne breakout and blemished skin area. Take a look at the color shades that are available and simply select the next level darker color shade from that list.

Step Three: Select a Second Level Darker Color Shade

Now that you have successfully selected your base skin tone color shade and your first level darker color shade for concealing and covering up your acne breakouts or blemishes, depending on the level of severity of your acne and your need for concealment, your skin may require a second level darker color shade for maximum acne concealing and coverage. Simply refer back to the list of color shades available again and select the second level darker color shade from your base skin tone shade to use for maximum acne concealing coverage.

One last thing to keep in mind when trying to find the right color shades for you is that there are no hard rules saying you cannot mix different color shades together. If you feel that the list of color shades available just do not seem to match right for your skin, you can custom mix different color shades together to better meet and match your skin's own unique color shade and acne concealment needs.

I hope that you've found this information helpful and useful.

Essential Tips for Dealing With Facial And Body Acne

Breakouts of acne can at times leave you feeling depressed or with low self-esteem. It is time to remove the control that acne has on your quality of life. If you follow the tips in this article, you will be on your way to clear and beautiful skin. When you have a skin care regimen, you could end up with a complexion you always dreamed of.

Hot or cold Pores can become clogged when you sweat a lot. This can result in acne. If it is too cold outside, it might cause your skin to dry out. Both are undesirable.

If you have acne, sweating can make it worse, be sure to shower right after exercise and use a medicated soap.

Be sure to change and wash your towels, bedding and washcloths often if you're looking to prevent or cure your acne to stop irritation caused by any dirt and oil in the fabric. Also, bacteria can often be present in bath and bed linens and can be grounds for acne.

This rule of cleanliness also applies to your clothing, of course, so don't wear the same clothing items over and over again without washing them.

Only use all-natural skin products if you have acne. Chemicals found in many products that are sold over-the-counter can seriously irritate your skin. They may remove the essentials oils that your skin needs for it to stay healthy. Additional skin blemishes may occur as result as your skin produces more of these oils.

Avoid picking at or popping pimples. Picking will lead to irritation, redness, and even infection. Rather than pick, seek advice from a dermatologist on how to safely reduce or eliminate scarring from acne.

Caffeine can contribute to your acne breakouts and can be found in a number of drinks such as soda and coffee. Stop or reduce your consumption of caffeine and you will probably suffer from fewer breakouts.

Don't mix your acne treatments together. It is believed by some people that by doing this it will improve results. But, different acne creams may contain chemicals that may react with each other when mixed together and may cause damage to your skin.

Eating a good balanced diet of fresh fruits, vegetables, good protein and whole grains can help cure your acne. You body will be detoxified and skin kept moist by drinking a good quantity of water. A little sunshine can benefit your skin. Strive for 15 to 20 minutes each day.

Don't use make-up or use a water-based makeup to help you acne problem. Although it might be tempting to hide your acne beneath make-up, it can clog up your pores. You will have clearer and cleaner skin if you don't use it. If you can, avoid using oil-based make-up. A make-up based on oil can result in clogged pores and as a result acne may form through using it. Look carefully to be sure the product is oil-free. Ask the salesperson if you are unsure.

If you don't mind the taste of apple cider, you might consider drinking a tablespoon of it twice a day. It is a general tonic that is good for your body and skin in a number of different ways. If you can't stand the taste, you can find recipes online that can help with that.

Don't touch your face with your hands, especially if your hands are dirty. You can transfer the dirt and oil from your hands to your face which can irritate the skin. The pores can become clogged from the dirt and may inflame your skin and result in pimples.

Skin care products containing salicylic acid work best to treat acne breakouts. Using this with beta hydoroxyl acids is vital in removing dead skin cells which may otherwise clog pores.

If you can, avoid situations that can cause stress. It doesn't give you acne, but it can be a major contributor and worsen any existing acne. Fortunately, there are ways to cope and reduce the stress you might be experiencing. Many people recommend yoga but any exercise will help. Your skin will improve, and it will also help your overall health too.

Tea tree oil is known as a natural astringent, and by using it on your skin it can help to clear it of acne, without drying it out.

Learn to moderate your consumption of alcohol. If you drink a lot frequently you may develop major acne problems. But, it is OK to drink at special occasions or have a glass of beer or wine with your meal.

If you have access to a pool, try to take advantage of it and swim as often as you can. Swimming allows your body to relax and it provides you with exercise that can calm down your acne. Chlorine can be soothing for your skin and may also reduce the acne bumps.

Use the tips that apply to your specific skin type and take control of your acne. You can give your skin that healthy glow by making wise choices. When your face clears up, you will feel much better about yourself.

How to Avoid Body Acne When Shaving Your Body

People shave parts of their bodies for many reasons, but many develop body acne after shaving. Men's chests and backs are particularly sensitive to developing body acne after shaving, especially when shaving for the first time.

Here are some tips that could help in keeping body acne to a minimum. The area to be shaven should be clean. It is therefore better to shave in the shower and wait until the hairs have become soft. Apply shaving cream to small areas and use a fresh shaving blade. Shave in the direction of the hair growth. It may be hard to determine what direction the hairs are growing in (particularly when shaving body hair for the first time), but after the hairs start growing back you will have a better idea.

To minimize acne due to ingrown hairs and stubble, treat the shaven area once or twice daily with a skin care product containing salicylic acid (a beta hydroxy acid), which will gently exfoliate the skin. Products containing alpha-hydroxy acids are also a good choice. If the area that was shaven becomes red right after shaving, an ice pack can be applied to the area for 5-10 minutes to help reduce swelling of the skin.

Avoid shaving the same area on a daily basis. This will only increase the acne and skin irritation and results in more ingrown hairs and stubble. Sea water has a positive effect on body acne, so go in the water when you are on the beach.

Shaving unwanted body hair will not make the hair grow back thicker, it just appears that way since the hair closest to the hair follicle is thicker. When the hair grows longer, the tip of the hair becomes thinner.

Some alternatives to shaving:

Depilatory Creams

To remove hair from arms, legs and backs, depilatory creams may be a good alternative to shaving. Most depilatory creams contain hydroxide and hair is removed by breaking down the keratin protein in hair. Skin is very sensitive to hydroxide and therefore depilatory creams should not be used on a daily basis. Use of depilatory creams may result in less body acne due to less ingrown hairs and stubble compared to shaving.

Use of depilatory creams makes the skin very sensitive, so avoid using any skin care product for 24 hours after hair removal.

Laser Hair removal

If permanent hair removal is something you desire and you can afford it, laser hair removal may be the right choice. To remove all hairs growing in different growth cycles, you will need to be treated at least 3 times plus some follow up visits to treat stubborn hairs. The area to be treated should be shaven 24 hours before laser treatment, so that only actively growing hairs are being targeted by the laser. Since the laser targets melanin pigment, people with darker hairs and lighter skin are the best candidates for laser hair removal.

What is body acne?

Body acne is simply the acne that appears on your body. I've had to deal with my fair share of it, and I have to say that it is yuck!

The acne nodes on your body are often bigger, deeper, and take longer to go away than the ones on your face, and to top it off, they hurt more too. In this article I will show you three popular home remedies for acne on your body, and will tell you my honest opinion about whether they will work.

Home remedy #1

I heard of this one a while back, but it still seems to be popular. Toothpaste is the first home remedy. I personally have never found any evidence that this works, but I know that some people swear by it. What you do with the toothpaste is apply it directly to the the acne nodule, and let it dry. This won't actually hurt your skin, or make it worse, but it doesn't really help either. Personally I give this home remedy for acne a thumbs down.

Home remedy #2

The next home remedy has a funny name, witch hazel. Witch hazel is actually a natural astringent, and you can find it at any drug store for just a few dollars. To use witch hazel as a remedy for acne, simply put it on a cotton ball and apply to the acne. You will probably notice that it is very soothing. For mild cases of acne on your body this treatment can help.

Home remedy #3

A body wash that contains Salicylic Acid can work wonders to cure body acne. In fact using a product that contains Salicylic Acid is one of the best things you can do to at home to treat body acne. Salicylic Acid is an amazing acne fighting ingredient especially when combined with Citric Acid. When you put these two ingredients together they pack a powerful 1-2 punch, and clear up acne fast.

This home remedy is a little pricier than others and usually runs about $20 a month, but it gives you some of the best weapons to get rid of body acne and keep it from coming back.

Get Rid of Chest Acne

Chest acne is a common skin condition that affects both adults and adolescents. Bacteria and germs are the prime cause of acne on the chest and back area, because the chest is often covered it can provide and it can retain dirt much longer than the face. It can also become irritated through certain types of clothes which may contribute to acne. The most common causes of chest acne are high levels of stress, tight fitting clothes, pollution, medications, hormonal changes, and genes.

Living a stressful life can greatly contribute to acne because it creates imbalances in the body. One of the best ways to prevent this condition is by living a healthy and balanced life, also be sure to get adequate sleep.

Pollution can be another cause because a large amount of dust and dirt flying through the air will almost certainly cause your skin to break out in pimples. Breathing polluted air is also harmful for the body and should be avoided if possible.

Tight fitting clothes can irritate the skin and also cause acne. When the clothes rubs back and forth on your skin it can cause you to sweat and that oil from your skin will seep into the open pores. This leads to clogging and breakouts on the skin. Additionally, hot clothing can also cause the skin to perspire heavily which can create a breeding ground for bacteria. If you are in a humid climate you should try to wear clothes that will keep your body cool. Make sure to wash your clothes regularly as well. The chest area is much less sensitive that other acne-prone areas like the face so you'll be able to use stronger soaps to help combat it. You shouldn't use body soap if you have acne or your chest may become dry, try to avoid picking the pimples as well.

Hormonal changes that cause acne usually occur during the adolescent stage although some adults may have hormonal acne as well. Women who are pregnant sometimes get acne as well. Genes also play a large role in acne conditions, if your parents or brothers and sisters had acne you probably will too. There are a number of methods you can use to fight this type of acne, by researching you'll be able to find numerous ways how to get rid of chest acne. The same method won't work for everybody so if one doesn't work try another.

Are Your Clothes Causing Your Skin Irritation and Acne?

It is something people rarely consider when they are having skin problems, but can actually be the source for them. The source is your clothing! While many of the skin irritants I have discussed in previous articles are avoidable, you can hardly avoid wearing clothes. Here is why clothing itself can be a skin irritant for many reasons:

1. The abrasiveness and texture of the fabric itself.

2. Allergic responses to dyes, metal fasteners, appliques and their glues or even just the chemical additives used in processing the fabric.

3. Scratching and contact from the tags, fasteners, and seams.

4. Chafing from frequent movement of the fabric on your skin in the same area.

5. Heat rash or bacterial infections from fabric that does not allow the skin to breathe or dry quickly trapping moisture. Leather is notorious for this.

You may have some difficultly determining that your skin irritation is from your clothing. First, you may want to eliminate other things, such as your soap, laundry detergents, fabric softeners (liquid and dry sheets) and cosmetics applied directly to your skin... and measure the difference in your skin. Then, you'll want to examine where the irritation is occurring, and see if you can clearly identify something in or on a particular article of clothing that is coming in contact with the irritated skin.

For example, if you are wearing a headband when you work out and you getting breakouts or red spots on your forehead, then the headband could be the culprit. Try working out for a week without the headband and see if things improve. There really is a great deal to understand about the skin and what can affect it.

We often take this largest organ of the human body for granted other than for vanity until it causes us problems. The skin and any irritation is almost always a storyteller and can provide clues to overall health and foretell future problems and diseases. Take good care of your skin, it's the only one you have, and it will serve you for a lifetime.

Adult Acne - Does the Boot Fit?

It has been said that all of us has been prone to the odd zit or two at some point in our lives. This is all very good but what happens if you are constantly bombarded with spots and they never seem to go away?

Yes, this actually does happen to a lot of people and it is said that as much as 25% of all adults suffer from some form of adult acne.

Although there are many speculations to the real causes of acne in adults (as well as acne in all ages) it is also true that there are many treatments and cures. The problem is that there are so many so called cures and treatments on the market ranging from medical, natural and even psychological treatments...

So, which ones work?

Many people blame adult acne on their hormones and therefore get hormonal treatment; others prefer medical cures such as benzoyl peroxide (good for teens - but what about adults?).

Others I know swear by natural treatments and have opted for the "acne-free" info products which (in my opinion) have some of the quickest and safest results.

If you're female then it may be interesting to know that the birth control pill has been acclaimed as one of the quickest methods of clearing up adult acne - although not much good for the rest of us.

I personally used to love going on holiday as I found that using certain sun-tanning lotions (as well as the sun itself) helped my acne and cleared it up for a while - although I understand this wouldn't work for 95% of others. Perhaps I should have moved to somewhere warmer?

I have even heard it mentioned that "one should adopt" in order to stay on the birth control pill - and thus keep acne at bay! However, I am hoping this was a joke ...

On the other hand, adult acne can really mess with your life. I have lost count of the number of people I have spoken to or have come across in bulletin boards that tell me that acne has played a real part in their relationships. Many folk feel so self-conscious and are unable to find a partner because of how they feel about themselves and how they think others' see them.

As many of us know, this is all too often not the case at all.

So, in summing up, I would say try out a number of treatments but don't just stick to what you know or what you've been told as there are a number of treatments out there that could have your cure written all over them - all you've got to do is find the right one.

Like I said at the start - if the boot fits, wear it.
All the best,

Popping Pimples - Is it worth it?

Everyone, it seems, has a different opinion on popping pimples, and for every magazine article you find that urges you to keep your hands away, you'll find another that says it's no big deal. And when you have a huge quivering mass on your nose that seems as though it's threatening to take over your whole face, popping that pimple can seem like the best way to get rid of the thing. Anyone who has ever suffered with acne can tell you that popping pimples is one of the perverse pleasures associated with the condition, and can become almost addictive. But beware - popping is not always the best way to get rid of pimples overnight, and can in fact make the whole thing a lot uglier.

How to get rid of pimples has been an issue that has plagued acne sufferers since time immemorial, but there is unfortunately very little that will successfully get rid of pimples overnight. While pimple popping might seem like the answer, it is something that should only be used on a zit-by-zit basis. There is little doubt that releasing the goo from a protruding white head can be extremely satisfying - but pimple popping should be reserved for this type of zit alone. Though the red cyst-like pimples that linger just beneath your skin can hurt like anything and can induce you to prod them with a needle or other pointed instrument in some attempt to get rid of the thing, trying to pop this type of pimple simply won't work, and - the last thing that any acne sufferer wants - might actually prolong the life of the pimple.

You can take the edge off those big white-headed guys and get rid of that kind of pimple overnight if you pop with care. Always wash your hands thoroughly before you begin. Puncture the head lightly with a sanitized needle (you should clean it by wiping it with alcohol, or by passing it through a flame) and wipe away the pus that comes out. Never, ever, force the issue - squeezing will only send the goo you can't see further into your skin, which will leave you with one of those painful zits that takes forever to go away. And while popping pimples is fun, it's not worth that, is it?
